High Performance coaching requires much more than tactical knowledge. It demands a clear structure to understand the game, prepare training, and manage people and processes under competitive pressure. Without this structure and established processes, it becomes difficult to create consistency, guide players effectively, and connect training with match performance.
In this Free Webinar, we will explore why these four pillars are fundamental for any coach working in the performance stage. You will learn what to analyze in your own team and in the opponent, what should be planned across the week, how training methodology changes at high levels, and why management and communication are key factors for sustained performance.
This session will help you understand how to move from the specialization stage into performance-stage coaching, and what must change in your way of thinking, planning, and working with players aged 17 and above.

WEDNESDAY
FEBRUARY 11th
In this webinar, we analyze the build-up phase in the 1-4-2-3-1 through a complete tactical lens. We begin by studying the general characteristics of the system and how its structure influences ball progression in the first and second phases of possession.
We will then focus on the key principles used by professional teams when building up in a 1-4-2-3-1, explaining how players create passing lines, occupy spaces, and generate superiority against different defensive behaviors.
Special attention will be given to tactical solutions based on the opponent’s high press. You will learn how to adapt your build-up structure depending on the pressure applied, recognizing when to progress through central corridors, wide corridors, or interior connections.
Using real match footage, we will connect theory with real tactical behavior and present concrete solutions that coaches can apply directly in their own teams and training environments.
By the end of the session, you will have a clear framework to coach the build-up phase in a 1-4-2-3-1, adapting principles and solutions to your players and competitive context.

Why this course?
High Performance football is not just about winning matches in the short term. It is about building a system where players can consistently perform at their best level over time. This requires much more than tactical knowledge. It demands a deep understanding of the game, the training process, player development, and how all departments work together toward the same objective.
Many coaches reach a point where technical and tactical knowledge is no longer enough. They need to know how to manage complexity, how to make better decisions, and how to structure their work in environments where pressure, results, and player performance are closely linked.
At Ekkono, we believe that High Performance is the result of clear principles, strong methodology, and a shared understanding of the game. This course is designed to help you build that professional vision, combining theory and practical application so you can transfer everything directly to your team and your daily coaching reality.
What will you learn?
In this course, you will gain a complete understanding of how to work in High Performance football through four main blocks: Analysis, Planning, Methodology, and Management.
You will start by learning what and how to analyze in performance contexts. This includes your own team, the opponent, and the game plan. You will work with practical activities to improve your analysis process and understand how to transform information into useful coaching decisions.
From there, you will move into planning. You will learn what should be planned in the performance stage, how to identify performance keys in attack and defense, and how to structure content blocks across the week. Special attention will be given to building microcycles and connecting training with competition demands.
In the methodology block, you will study how training exercises change in the performance stage depending on the day of the week. You will learn the criteria to create a good training context, how it differs from development stages (initiation and early specialization), and what must be considered when designing exercises for competitive players. You will also work on practical solutions and methodology principles to prepare training sessions with higher specificity.
Finally, the management block will focus on the factors that influence performance inside and outside the pitch. You will learn about the importance of communication, both internally with players and staff and externally with the club environment. You will also study the role of values, clear processes, and professional structure in building a stable High Performance environment.
By following this process across the sessions, you will not only understand High Performance football but also build your own working framework to apply directly with your team.
By enrolling, you will receive exclusive access to download video clips and some training exercises used during the course.
