But building and applying a Game Model is not universal—it changes depending on the players you coach, the country you work in, and the football culture around you. In this Free Webinar, we will explore why the Game Model matters, which key elements every coach must consider, and how to successfully adapt your model in different contexts.

As part of the session, we will feature an exclusive interview with Ferran Sibila, a young coach with international experience in Sweden, England, Finland, and Japan. Ferran has worked professionally at several clubs including GIF Sundsvall, IFK Göteborg, Barnsley, Malmö FF, HJK Helsinki, and IFK Värnamo. OCT 15th | LIVE COURSE | 9 SESSIONS

Why this course?

A Game Model is the backbone of every coach’s philosophy. It defines how your team plays in all phases of the game, how players interact within a structure, and how training connects with competition. Without a clear Game Model, it’s impossible to create consistency, identity, or long-term player development.

At Ekkono, we believe the Game Model is a coach’s most powerful tool. It not only reflects your footballing ideas, but also gives players a common language and a clear reference to perform. In this course, you will learn how to design and implement your Game Model step by step, integrating both theory and practice so you can apply it directly to your own team.

What will you learn?

In this course, you will gain a complete understanding of what a Game Model is, how to build one step by step, and how to adapt it to your own players and context. The process begins by learning how to define the different Game Phases, identify your preferred Game Style, and structure the team accordingly. You will then move into analyzing Episodes of the game, recognizing the Performance Keys that make the difference, and establishing the Collective Priorities that give your team consistency.

From there, the course will guide you into setting Individual Position Priorities, making sure every role on the pitch has clear principles for both attack and defense. You will also learn how to create a shared Code and Common Language, giving your team a unified way of communicating and understanding the game.

Finally, you will study how to organize and integrate Set Pieces into your model, both offensively and defensively, and how to design Evaluation Indicators to measure whether your Game Model is truly being applied in matches.

By following this process across the 8 sessions, you will not only analyze existing Game Models but also be guided step by step in building your own, ensuring you leave the course with a structured, practical, and fully personalized Game Model ready to implement with your team.

By enrolling, you will receive exclusive access to download video clips used during the course to illustrate key concepts.

Join the full course by adding the Review & Evaluation Pack.

With the ‘Review & Evaluation Pack’ option, you’ll have the opportunity to review the game model you are developing throughout the course and receive a final evaluation.
