High Performance football is not just about winning matches in the short term. It is about building a system where players can consistently perform at their best level over time. This requires much more than tactical knowledge. It demands a deep understanding of the game, the training process, player development, and how all departments work together toward the same objective.
Many coaches reach a point where technical and tactical knowledge is no longer enough. They need to know how to manage complexity, how to make better decisions, and how to structure their work in environments where pressure, results, and player performance are closely linked.
At Ekkono, we believe that High Performance is the result of clear principles, strong methodology, and a shared understanding of the game. This course is designed to help you build that professional vision, combining theory and practical application so you can transfer everything directly to your team and your daily coaching reality.
In this course, you will gain a complete understanding of how to work in High Performance football through four main blocks: Analysis, Planning, Methodology, and Management.
You will start by learning what and how to analyze in performance contexts. This includes your own team, the opponent, and the game plan. You will work with practical activities to improve your analysis process and understand how to transform information into useful coaching decisions.
From there, you will move into planning. You will learn what should be planned in the performance stage, how to identify performance keys in attack and defense, and how to structure content blocks across the week. Special attention will be given to building microcycles and connecting training with competition demands.
In the methodology block, you will study how training exercises change in the performance stage depending on the day of the week. You will learn the criteria to create a good training context, how it differs from development stages (initiation and early specialization), and what must be considered when designing exercises for competitive players. You will also work on practical solutions and methodology principles to prepare training sessions with higher specificity.
Finally, the management block will focus on the factors that influence performance inside and outside the pitch. You will learn about the importance of communication, both internally with players and staff and externally with the club environment. You will also study the role of values, clear processes, and professional structure in building a stable High Performance environment.
By following this process across the sessions, you will not only understand High Performance football but also build your own working framework to apply directly with your team.
